Job Description

XY DIGITAL is looking for a Backend or Full-Stack Developer with solid experience in Laravel, to join an existing team working on dynamic product development. If you’re Full-Stack, frontend experience with Vue/Nuxt 3 is appreciated but not mandatory. This is a Romanian-speaking project, so clear communication in Romanian is a must.

You’ll work closely with experienced developers and contribute to both backend architecture and scalable feature delivery. Flexibility in working hours is available during the onboarding phase.


Interview Process

  • Step 1: Intro call with our team (Romanian)

  • Step 2: Technical discussion with coding test or GitHub review

  • Step 3: Start onboarding

  • Start Date: Flexible / ASAP

  • Contract: Long-term / Full-Time (Part-Time onboarding acceptable)


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend services in Laravel

  • (If Full-Stack) Contribute to frontend components using Vue/Nuxt 3

  • Integrate APIs, manage database logic, and ensure code quality

  • Collaborate with the Romanian-speaking team on feature planning and delivery

  • Participate in Git-based version control and code review processes

  • Help optimize backend performance and architecture


Requirements

  • At least 3–4 years of experience working with Laravel across multiple projects

  • Good understanding of RESTful backend architecture

  • Experience with Git, GitHub, and structured version control workflows

  • Comfortable working with PostgreSQL

  • Conversational proficiency in Romanian (entire team communicates in Romanian)

  • For Full-Stack: hands-on knowledge of Vue 3 / Nuxt 3 is required


Skill & Experience

  • Familiarity with Laravel 11

  • Experience working in remote teams and GitHub-based workflows

  • Willingness to scale from part-time to full-time (if starting part-time)

  • Proactive attitude and clean, maintainable code practices
